Indian Army Soldier Clerk Eligibility Criteria

Just like other trades, Army & Clerk also has some eligibility standards without fulfilling which; one cannot be recruited for these trade. Following are the important qualifications or eligibility criteria needed:-

Age Limit Required

Minimum age = 17.5 years                                                     Maximum age = 21 years

Educational Qualifications

  • Applying candidate must be 12th passed from any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science).
  • Only those candidates can apply who had Math or Accounts or Book keeping in class 12th.
  • Should have scored minimum 60% marks overall, and 50% marks in each subject in 12th.

Written Exam

The written exam comes in two parts, and a candidate has to get 32 marks in each part to pass. Also, the aggregate of both the parts should be 80 or more than 80 to pass the written exam.

Each question will carry 4 marks.

Note:- Please note that there will be negative marking in the written exam, and ½ marks will be reduced for every wrong answer.

Indian Army – GD (General Duty)

Age Limit Required

Minimum age = 17½ years                                                     Maximum age = 21 years

Educational Qualifications

SSLC/ Matric with 45% marks in aggregate, scoring 32% in each subject. If you have higher qualification (10+2 or above), then the percentage of your marks is not a criteria.

Note- NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders are exempted

NEGATIVE MARKS – 2 mark will be awarded for every correct answer, while ½ marks will be deducted for a wrong answer.

Physical Requirement For Clerk-

Height (in cm) –     162
Weight (in Kg) –     50
Chest (in cm) –       77

# Running

You will need to run 1600 m (1 mile) within 5.45 minutes .

# Pull Ups

Minimum 6 Pull ups are required.

# Balancing And 9 Feet Ditch

After chest measurement, balancing and 9 feet ditch are the last hurdles of physical test. No marks are given for these, but one needs to clear them to pass the physical test.

# Making Of Merit List

After clearing all the test and going through a long process, comes the merit list.

The merit list of Clerk is based on the marks scored by candidates in written exam only. For trades like GD, merit list is made after combining marks of PFT + medical test + CEE. But, for clerk there are no marks for PFT, therefore, the merit list is directly made after CEE. So, your chances of getting recruited will depend on your performance in written exam.

 

Indian Army Technical & NA Agniveer

The Indian Army Technical Agniveer Exam will be conducted through the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) in an offline mode. Candidates who successfully pass the Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test and Medical Test will be considered eligible to appear in the Indian Army Technical Agniveer exam. The exam is conducted by the numerous recruitment rallies set up all over India. Candidates must keep in mind the following points about the Indian Army Technical Agniveer exam pattern:

  • Total Number of Questions: 50
  • Marks Awarded for Each Correct Answer: 4
  • Total Marks: 200
  • Negative Marking: No negative marking
  • Type of Questions: Multiple choice based objective questions
  • Mode of Exam: Offline (expected)
  • Duration of the Exam: 60 minutes (1 hour)
  • Passing Marks: 80
  • The exam pattern is as follows:
